Some dive sites are nestled around little islands off the shore of Sanya. Some are quite near to the beautiful bays.

The most popular dive site can be found a little further away. Wuzhizhou Island, which is 2.7 kilometers off the coast of Linwang town, is located near the pristine Haitang Bay. It is really a traveler's dream. Not like other common beach resort island, the island is not bustling with cheap hotels and resorts. It has beautiful silver-sand beach and a handful of lovely sea-view or garden-view villas. With the most turquoise sea in Sanya, it is every bit as much a diver's dream below the surface.

An Amazing Variety of Marine Life:

The waters near Sanya are absolutely brimming with life. A typical dive will feature Parrotfish, Angelfish, Butterflyfish, Damselfish, Clown Anemonefish (aka Nemo), Moray Eels, Moorish Idols, Bannerfish, Squid,  and many species of shrimp, but it is also very common to see Sea Snakes, and Sea Horses. If you're lucky you may even come face to face with a little sharks.
