Sanya holds pre-job training meeting for SICIF volunteers

Sanya has been recruiting volunteers for the Sanya International Cultural Industry Fair (SICIF) since October of this year. After registration, qualification screening, preliminary review, and re-election interviews, more than 460 college students were selected among more than 1,000 applicants.

On Dec 12, Sanya held a pre-job training meeting at the Hainan Institute of Tropical Oceanography for the 6th SICIF volunteers.

The lectures provided a comprehensive overview of SICIF, focusing on volunteer etiquette as well as medical and rescue knowledge. More than 160 volunteers participated.

At the training session, Feng Qingzhe, project leader of SICIF and secretary-general of the Sanya Cultural Industry Association, gave a detailed overview of SICIF, introducing the various on-site works and stressing their importance.

Many students said that after listening to this class, they have increased the responsibility for the SICIF, and they will work hard to improve voluntary service ability.

Liang Qiong, vice president of Sanya Etiquette and Cultural Exchange Association, used simulated scenes to teach volunteers how to deal with and respond correctly when faced with different situations of on-site service.

In addition, an etiquette teacher taught volunteers common standard manner, and a teacher from the Municipal Red Cross Emergency Rescue Team taught volunteers a lot of common medical protection knowledge and first aid skills.

The heads of the various departments and team leaders of the organizing committee provided classified training for the volunteers of each group, and taught the responsibilities of their positions and common problems in the work.
