Survey work of opening ceremony venue for Asian Beach Games completed

The survey work of the opening ceremony venue for the sixth Asian Beach Games has been completed, according to reports from Sanya Daily on April 23. 

 
Since Feb 15, the Sanya Geo-engineering Investigation Institute has been working on the survey work of the first-phase project of Yasha Park, which will be the venue for the opening ceremony for the inter-continental event that is slated to be held in November. 

 
The venue mainly includes a stage for the opening ceremony, an area for audiences to enjoy the ceremony, and supporting facilities. The smooth completion of the survey work will lay a solid foundation for the construction of these facilities.

The 6th Asian Beach Games, which is scheduled to be held from Nov 28 to Dec 6 in Sanya, will mark the first inter-continental sports event to be staged in Hainan province. It will include 17 main sport events: surfing, beach soccer, beach kabaddi, martial arts (beach wrestling and jujitsu), teqball, 3x3 basketball, dragon boat races, aquatics (open water swimming and water polo), beach woodball, beach athletics, aquathlon, sailing, sport climbing, powerboat races, beach volleyball, beach handball, as well as powered paragliding.
