Sanya Customs approves 1,048 customs declaration enterprises this year

With the smooth implementation of the Hainan Free Trade Port's "zero tariff" preferential policy, Sanya's tourism, transportation and scientific research industries have enjoyed great benefits. From January to July this year, a total of 1,048 enterprises were customs-approved at Sanya Customs, a year-on-year increase of 3.9 times.

Xing Lichun, a staff member from Sanya Customs, said that in response to the substantial increase of the customs declaration enterprises, Sanya Customs continues to optimize the business environment for cross-border trade, and implement online applications and immediate approval measures.

Since the beginning of this year, Sanya Customs has helped a large number of enterprises and citizens' businesses through its hotline and office windows. Meanwhile, relevant handling guidelines have been sorted out to help enterprises quickly complete business processing. From January to July, Sanya Customs responded to nearly 1,500 business inquiries, and went to enterprises to publicize customs policies 85 times.

Sanya encourages qualified enterprises to actively apply for Authorized Economic Operator certification (AEO). An AEO is defined as an organization or company involved in the international movement of goods certified by China Customs. The certificate gives holders privileges, benefits, exemptions and relaxation on their import and export accounts.
