Original pottery technique of the Li Ethnic Group

The pottery technique of the Li ethnic group has Neolithic origins. It is a kind of handicraft technique using the ancient clay-plate construction method. It is popular in Buqu, Budai and Daodei villages under the Heitu Villagers’ Committee of Tianya district. The technique was listed in the third batch of Hainan Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritages. The technique has obvious ancient cultural characteristics. It is a historical and cultural miracle that the original pottery crafts of the Li ethnic group are still followed in Sanya after thousands of years.
