Improving public cultural services

The city is promoting construction of a municipal cultural center, a sports center, a media center and an opera house, and is accelerating the planning and construction of district-level cultural museums, libraries, and a fitness center.

It has actively organized mass cultural and sports activities, and founded the fourth group of state public cultural service system demonstration areas. It has developed into the “Capital of Eastern Asian Culture”.

Sanya is also exploring and inheriting the historic Yazhou Culture and focusing on development of Yazhou ancient town. It has created modern art classics, promoted cultural prosperity and development, and enriched the spiritual lives of local residents and tourists.
