2nd Sanya Nanshan ICH Festival to kick off on June 11

The 2nd Sanya Nanshan Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) Festival will be held from June 11 to 30 in Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone. It will hold a series of activities, including ICH-themed exhibitions and Li brocade costume shows, to display the charm of traditional culture.

June 11 marks the 17th Cultural and Natural Heritage Day. The Hainan Province Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports will set up three venues in Haikou, Sanya, and Danzhou, as well as organize more than 160 activities across the province to further improve public awareness of ICH protection and promote excellent traditional culture.

The Sanya Nanshan ICH Festival is one of the important activities to be held at the Sanya venue. It will fully display ICH protection achievements in Hainan province and the whole country through various activities, such as the Li brocade fashion show, the ICH and rural vitalization exhibition, the China-Nepal traditional handicraft exchange exhibition, cultural and creative exhibition exchange seminars, as well as the Nanshan cultural and creative design competition.
