Sanya's landscape sees great changes during past decade

Sanya's urban landscape has seen great changes during the past decade, while its rural vitalization efforts continue to progress steadily, increasing people's quality of life in the city.

During the past decade, a duty-free store was built on the former site of Shuiju Lane and an inner port of the Sanya River was turned into a cruise port. Changes also took place in road traffic and cultural landscape, while a modern CBD and many new bridges, such as the Sanya Bridge and the Yueming Bridge, were built.

Sanya is striving to become an innovation highland of the Hainan Free Trade Port, mainly focusing on the Nanfan agriculture industry and deep-sea industry. Through the city's efforts, Sanya residents are enjoying better education and healthcare services. In addition, the construction of an international tourist consumption center provides residents the ability to enjoy goods from abroad without leaving the city.
