10 years on: Sanya sees major improvements to living environment

During the past decade, Sanya has rationally arranged production, living, and ecological spaces in its urban planning and construction, as well as expanded public spaces to provide the public places for leisure, fitness, and entertainment.

In May this year, Fengxinglong Green Park and Sanya Talents Home were unveiled, adding good places for leisure and entertainment for residents and tourists.

The upgraded Sanya Bay boasts a spacious and flat leisure square, an intelligent and convenient parking lot, a high-tech street lighting system, as well as a wealth of architectural wonders and cultural sites.

Wang Yu, a 70 year old citizen living in Zhuoda Community, praised the urban construction that has taken place in Sanya in recent years. "My house is near the Yuechuan Ecological Greenway, making it very convenient for me to exercise and relax," Wang said.

The Yuechuan Ecological greenway is like a "green necklace" in the city that not only provides a habitat for egrets and other wildlife, but also provides a popular leisure space for the public.
