HIIFF contributes to development of Chinese, global film industry

On Dec 18, the fourth Hainan Island International Film Festival (HIIFF) held an opening ceremony in Haitang Bay, Sanya, Hainan province. Filmmakers,both local and international, attended the ceremony to join an international film festival gathering global perspectives. Antendees also got to witness the exchange between leading experts from China and their international counterparts.

Since its establishment in 2018, HIIFF has been committed to providing an international stage for Chinese films. This event strengthens international film cultural exchanges and cooperation, as well as promotes the development of the film industry and film creation.

With an open, diversified, and inclusive mentality, the fourth HIIFF invited international filmmakers to the Hainan Free Trade Port to enjoy and participate. Its goal is to create a film festival that is professional, popular, and internationally recognized, as well as to develop the film industry in China and globally.
