Tencent Group

The Sanya Municipal Government inked a strategic cooperation agreement with Tencent Group in January 2019. The two sides will launch deep cooperation in the “digital Sanya” initiative and the settlement of Tencent’s regional headquarters in the city.

Tencent Group, a world-renowned Internet company, possesses competitive strength in fields like social networks, digital production and distribution, big data and artificial intelligence. Relying on those advantages, Tencent will help to build a “super brain” with functions such as a multidimensional sense, integration and sharing of information, analysis and decision, and the capacity to warn and make predictions for Sanya; it will generally improve government services through data on boarding, application and display.

Founded in November 1998, Tencent Group is one of the biggest Internet comprehensive service providers in China and leads Internet companies with regard to the number of users.
