Datang Hainan New Energy Development inaugurated in Sanya

On Nov 5, Datang Hainan New Energy Development was established in Sanya. The company's arrival will further safeguard the city's ability to guarantee a stable supply of green energy, scale up its energy industry, optimize the structure of the energy industry, and provide crucial energy security to shore up the economic and social development of Sanya.

Datang Hainan New Energy Development, with a registered capital of 25 million yuan ($3.4 million), is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Datang Hainan Energy Development. It focuses on the development and utilization of photovoltaic power generation, hydrogen energy, and offshore floating photovoltaic power generation, while building a safe and efficient urban energy system.

In recent years, Datang Hainan Energy Development has integrated more deeply into Sanya's economy. Up to now, it has invested 1.47 billion yuan in Sanya, landing three projects: Dalong photovoltaic (PV), Hongxing PV and a headquarters base. During the period of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25), it plans to invest more than 10 billion yuan in Sanya to build a green and low-carbon industrial chain, as well as form an integrated development model including a headquarters, carbon-trading center, research institute, photohydrogen storage base, and smart comprehensive energy.
