1st domestic durian processing plant to operate in Sanya

The first domestic durian processing plant, Hainan Youqi Big Mouth Bird Durian Processing Plant, is smoothly progressing in Sanya. The factory building is complete, with equipment installation ongoing for a June operational target.

Situated in Yucai Modern Agricultural Industry Park on 63 mu (4.2 hectares), the plant features four key areas: fresh fruit sorting, product processing, fruit drying, and a large cold storage unit.

The fresh fruit sorting workshop is projected to be completed in March, focusing on durian inspection. Four cold storage units are ready, while the product processing workshop awaits equipment with live streaming studios for sales. Fruit drying workshop construction is ongoing.

Starting in June, domestic durians are set to enter a period of concentrated market launch, while durian products like mooncakes, ice cream, and rice dumplings will be available. The plant aims to optimize the durian industry through effective sorting and processing.

Plans include facility enhancements and streamlined production to meet market demands and boost Sanya's economy with high-quality durian products.
