Tropical city Sanya benefits from warm winters. Here are some recommended ways to travel in the region at this time of year.

The versatility and convenience of paddleboarding have made this a popular activity all over the world. Due to its relative simplicity, it is suitable for beginners and can be enjoyed by people of all ages from young kids to the elderly.

The board has a wide and thick surface, giving it greater buoyancy and making it easier for people to balance on. The paddles add to the fun as they mean you can navigate the board along various waterways regardless of the wind, tide or current.

Yezizhou Island in Haitang Bay, Sanya, offers one of the most primitive natural landscapes in the province. It is actually comprised of 17 naturally formed islands, creating a unique tropical river channel that makes it an excellent place for paddleboarding.

2. Cycling

Riding is a popular way to travel around Sanya. On Taiyang Bay Road, the coastal section stretches along the bay with a gentle slope and beautiful scenery, meaning cyclists don't have to over-exert themselves as they soak up the stunning views.

Damao village is in the northeast corner of Sanya. It combines agriculture with tourism, making it a perfect family travel destination. It also features a natural museum research village, as well as a tropical agriculture demonstration area. Riding through the winding greenery and enjoying the idyllic gardens of Damao village make for unforgettable memories.

If you have enough time to cycle along the Coconut Dream Corridor, you may also be fortunate enough to enjoy a romantic sunset to cap your day.
