4th Hainan film festival announces opening, exhibition films

The 4th Hainan Island International Film Festival (HIIFF) will be held in Sanya from Dec 18 to 25. The list of opening films and exhibition films has been released and will present new works and historical classics from all over the world.

The opening film isPost Truth directed by Chinese Director Da Peng, and will be released nationwide on Dec 31. The film lists includes five exhibition units, namely Gala, Fest Best, Panorama, New Horizons, Classics, as well as Around the Island, which is a film carnival parallel to the main festival. The Around the Island exhibition will screen a variety of films targeted towards multiple audiences, covering many cities and cinemas across the island.

The film tickets of HIIFF will go on sale at 12:00 on Dec 16 in cooperation with Maoyan Entertainment, the online ticketing service platform. In addition, tickets for the Around the Island exhibition went on sale at 18:00 on Dec 9, and these films are being screened in Haikou, Danzhou and Wenchang from Dec 10 to 15.
