Volunteers picked for 4th Hainan film festival in Sanya

The selection of volunteers for the 4th Hainan Island International Film Festival (HIIFF) was held on Nov 20 at Sanya College, where more than 270 students from Sanya College and Sanya Polytechnic Vocational College took part in the on-site selection process. The film festival will be held in the city from Dec 3 to 10.

It was the first time for most of the students to participate in the selection of volunteers for the festival, giving way to some nervous jitters amid all the excitement. For the majority of students in Sanya, the film festival not only presents a cultural feast for the public, but also provides them with a greater practical platform to accumulate social experience.

A total of 260 university volunteers will be recruited for the film festival. The selection criteria include appearance, language, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as organizational discipline. After passing the training, they will provide volunteer services for various activities. Moreover, 30 "one-to-one" volunteers will be selected to take care of VIPs.

"We hope that students will maintain a positive spirit and provide visiting guests with a quality service, thus demonstrating a good image of Sanya," said Zhao Ning, who is responsible for the company registration reception center of the HIIFF.
