4th HIIFF closes in Sanya

On Dec 24, the closing ceremony of the 4th Hainan Island International Film Festival (HIIFF) was held in Sanya Haitang Square.

Marco Muller, the artistic director of this year's festival, led the guests and audience on a review of the century-long road of cinema. A number of well-known filmmakers took the stage to reveal the winners of the festival's Golden Coconut Awards.

The eight-day 4th HIIFF included many main activities such as the Golden Coconut Awards, themed forums, master classes, H!Action venture meetings, H!Market activities, and opening, closing and awards ceremonies, which attracted participation by many filmmakers.

From Dec 10 to 15, the festival organizing committee also selected dozens of films to be screened in Haikou, Danzhou, Wenchang and elsewhere.
