Sanya Yazhou Bay: innovation hot spot of Hainan FTP

Hainan highly praised Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City's achievements in promoting technological innovation and helping rural vitalization, according to a press conference.

The conference detailing the province's social and economic achievements in the past 10 years was held by the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee on July 11.

As a key park of the Hainan Free Trade Port, Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City focuses on the two key sectors of Nanfan seed technology and deep sea technology. It has become an important platform for Sanya to cultivate new forms of industrial transformation and boost economic development, creating a hot spot for Hainan FTP science and technology innovation.

In terms of the Nanfan seed industry, the National Saline-Alkali Tolerant Rice Technology Innovation Center has been put into operation and the Hainan Yazhou Bay Seed Laboratory has been established.

In terms of deep-sea science and technology, Sanya has made a number of major deep-sea scientific research achievements, such as the all-sea deep-sea manned submersible Fengdouzhe. At the same time, the Hainan Deep Sea Technology Innovation Center was also established to promote marine technology development.
