Sanya Yazhou Bay selected as national IP demonstration park

Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City was selected as a national-level intellectual property (IP) demonstration park, becoming the only park to receive this honor in Hainan, according to a recent notice released by the State Intellectual Property Office.

A total of 48 county-level areas and 22 industrial parks were selected this time. Among them, Sanya's Yazhou district won the title of national-level IP demonstration county, while Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City won the title of national-level IP demonstration park.

In recent years, Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City has deeply implemented the national strategy of strengthening intellectual property rights (IPR), striving to build a national seed industry IP protection demonstration area and a national comprehensive IP protection pilot demonstration area.

The park also actively explored IP comprehensive management system reform and innovation in the fields of patents, trademarks, copyrights, geographical indications, and new plant varieties. It has been carrying out rapid and coordinated IPR protection work focusing on the marine industry and the modern agricultural industry.

It will take this selection as a new starting point to explore and create a new model of intensive and efficient comprehensive IP protection and service.
