2021 Hainan Intl Cultural and Creativity Week to be held in Sanya

The 2021 Hainan International Culture and Creativity Week will be held in October, in Hainan's Sanya and Boao, according to a press conference held in Tsinghua University on July 15. The theme of the event is "Resonance and Symbiosis". The main venue will be at the Mangrove Tree Resort World Sanya Bay, and it will be linked to many scenic spots, such as Tianya Haijiao and Luhuitou.

The event was launched for the first time at the Boao Forum for Asia in 2019. This year, the main venue has changed from Boao to Sanya, linking the resources of the two places. The event will be co-sponsored by the Tsinghua University Cultural and Creativity Development Research Institute, Boao Cultural and Creativity Institute, Sanya Tourism and Culture Group, and SMART Resort Industry Smart Platform.

As the new host organization, the Sanya Tourism and Culture Group will continue to take on more efforts to improve the resort city's cultural and creative industry until the launch of the event.

The attendees also had in-depth discussions about the content construction and directional outlook of this year's cultural and creativity week at the press conference.

Hu Yu, executive dean of the Tsinghua University Cultural and Creativity Development Research Institute, said that the current era presents many problems, such as the extreme demand for spiritual products, social differentiation, and various conflicts. Therefore, people need the power of culture and creativity to drive the progress of the times.
