Sanya aims to raise global profile through consumer products expo

A delegation led by Zhou Hongbo, Party secretary of Sanya in Hainan province, visited the exhibition areas of the ongoing China International Consumer Products Expo, which is taking place in the provincial capital Haikou until May 10.

The expo provides an exhibition and trading platform for global consumer products, and is expected to become an important exhibition for countries looking to access the Chinese market.

Zhou pointed out that Sanya should take an active part in making full use of this platform, deepening communication and cooperation between governments and companies, and seeking mutual development.

He said that efforts should be made to develop a tourism consumption industry. Sanya should introduce more outstanding products and ideas into the city’s tourism consumption market, attract various global consumer products to cluster in Sanya, and move forward the development of a core area for the international tourism consumption center.

Local companies are encouraged to fully showcase Sanya's distinctive products and advantages to increase their popularity and reputation at home and abroad.
