Sanya Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital

Inaugurated in 1991, the Sanya Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital (Sanya TCM Hospital) was relocated to the current address in Fenghuang Road of Sanya city in 2008. The hospital now covers a floor area of 45 mu (three hectares), and a construction area of 55,947.74 square meters. It is a 3A-Grade traditional Chinese medicine hospital with integrated functionalities of medical care, teaching, research, healthcare, rehabilitation, as well as medical cooperation and exchanges on traditional Chinese medicine.

The Sanya TCM Hospital has a total of 660 approved beds, 19 functional departments, and 35 clinical and medical detection departments, covering emergency rooms, ICU, internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedics and traumatology, dermatology, andrology, anorectology, acupuncture and moxibustion, massage, rehabilitation, preventive treatment, otorhinolaryngology, stomatology, ophthalmology, infectious diseases, anesthesia, medical cosmetology, imaging, functional department, laboratory, blood transfusion, and Chinese and western pharmacies. It has one national key clinical department (splenic and gastric department), two national key traditional Chinese medicine departments (orthopedics and traumatology and  preventive treatment), three members of the key specialty coordination group by the State Administrative Traditional Chinese Medicine (acupuncture, clinical pharmacy, and nursing), as well as one provincial-level key specialty department (encephalopathy).

Since 2002, capitalizing on a synergy of unique strength in traditional Chinese medicine and the resources of Sanya as a world-famous tourist destination, the hospital has been operating the Sanya International Friendly TCM Nursing House, which is an industry leader nation-wide in traditional Chinese medicine rehabilitation and nursing trips. The nursing house has hosted guests from Russia, Sweden, Norway, Austria, Germany, and France, and provides high-end tailored healthcare services.
