Flame trees in full bloom in Sanya

Delonix regia, commonly called royal poinciana or "flame trees", are currently putting on a flamboyant display of orange-red flowers in the tropical city of Sanya in South China's Hainan province.

The ornamental trees have become quite a view in Sanya during the summer time, attracting many of the city's shutterbugs to enjoy and record the scenery.

There are many places in Sanya for you to admire the blooming flame trees. These include Linchunling Park, Luhuitou Scenic Zone, the End of the Earth (Tianya Haijiao), the Nanshan Cultural Tourism Area and the Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park.
