Sanya embraces Asian Beach Games vibes

The 6th Asian Beach Games will take place in Sanya from April 22 to 30, 2026, bringing together nearly 10,000 athletes, coaches, officials, and media from 45 Asian countries and regions, along with global spectators.

This marks Hainan's first-ever continent-wide, comprehensive sporting event on a beach and the first major sports competition after the launch of Hainan Free Trade Port's independent customs operations. Sanya is currently preparing for the games. 

Across the city, promotional elements are visible everywhere - from streetlight banners along Fenghuang Road and Yingbin Road to highway billboards and illuminated landmarks like tourist sites, shopping centers, and office buildings. Over 50 LED screens throughout the province and airport displays further amplify the event's presence.

With ads on over 2,000 buses and plans for greenery installations and transit promotions, Sanya's streets are alive with anticipation for the upcoming sporting spectacle.
