Sanya listed among top 10 Chinese cities in business-friendly environment

Sanya in South China's Hainan province was listed among the top 10 Chinese cities with the most favorable business environment at the Forum of International Business Environment held in Beijing on July 2.
The city ranks first in the country in real estate registration and government services.
The customs clearance time has been significantly cut down due to the application of single-window platforms for international trade throughout the city, in which cross-border traders can submit regulatory documents at one location.
From January to April, the time for import customs clearance in Sanya was 42.11 hours, 64.47 percent shorter than that over the same period of 2017, while the time for export customs clearance was 3.43 hours, a year-on-year reduction of 48.5 percent.
Eighty-five percent of the items subject to examination and approval in Sanya can be done online, including 384 tax-related ones.
In addition, credit products were offered in the city to corporate taxpayers with the taxpaying credit grading of B or above. The grade is in accordance with the credit rating system established by the State Administration of Taxation, in which companies are ranked from A to D in terms of their tax-paying record.
By the end of May, the amount of loans issued through taxpaying credit products in Sanya totaled 387 million yuan ($56.24 million).
Special lines, apart from the "12345" governmental service hotline, were set up to open more channels to deal with problems and appeals.
Sanya has been improving its business environment through institutional innovation in recent years. In May 2018, it was selected to be part of the second batch of national business environment evaluation cities. It established the province's first bureau for business environment service in March this year.
