14 Hainan Free Trade Port projects start construction in Sanya

The second group of 14 Hainan Free Trade Port projects in Sanya started construction on July 13.

The projects, which have a total investment of 3.81 billion yuan ($543 million), cover various areas including infrastructure, public service facilities, education, culture, sports, and commence. They include a South China Sea geological scientific and technological innovation base, a rose small town, a commercial plaza, and the first phase of the InterContinental Hotel & Resort in Yalong Bay.

Upon completion, the projects are expected to further improve the urban construction, optimize the business environment, as well as propel the industrial structure adjustment and upgrading of Sanya.
