500 enterprises newly registered in Sanya CBD

The Sanya Central Business District (CBD) has become home to 500 new enterprises this year as of Nov 16, a result of the preferential policies rolled out at the Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP).

China Datang Group Overseas Holdings, Hainan Fosun Tourism and Culture Investment, Joy City (Sanya) Investment, and Zhuhai Duty Free Enterprise Group Company are among the new enterprises. In addition, there are more than 120 companies that are being registered, including 10 Fortune Global 500 enterprises.

As the only park in the Hainan FTP with cruise yachts as its leading industry, Sanya CBD has been actively promoting the development of its cruise yacht industry. To date, 10 cruise yacht companies have signed contracts to settle in it, while an additional 26 companies have completed registration and more than 30 companies have showed intentions to settle.

The Sanya CBD Administration has paid close attention to project planning, preliminary project advancement, and construction progress. To date, more than 20 projects have been under construction in the park. The annual plan for fixed asset investment in the park this year is 6.8 billion yuan ($1.04 billion). It is estimated that from January to October, a total investment of 6 billion yuan will be completed. The projects will effectively promote the development of industries like financial services and modern commerce.

The Sanya CBD Administration will strengthen services for market entities in company establishment, project construction, and financing. It will also focus on key areas like tax-free consumption, cruises, and yachts, make sufficient investment promotion, as well as build financing service platforms, recruitment information platforms, and consulting service platforms to optimize the business environment of the park and help the implementation of the Hainan FTP policies.
