Hainan's largest stadium completes construction in Sanya

As the largest stadium in Hainan province, the Sanya International Sports Industrial Park Stadium was successfully completed recently.

The stadium can hold the highest level of national comprehensive competitions and international individual event competitions as well as meet the requirements for livestreaming events. It will become a new landmark and business card in Sanya.

Relying on its unique advantages in natural resources, Sanya hosts a number of large-scale sports events every year. In 2018, Sanya won the right to host the 6th Asian Beach Games. In order to meet demands for hosting sports events, it is urgently building a series of high-standard sports facilities.

The Sanya International Sports Industrial Park Stadium project officially started construction on Sept 18, 2019. The industrial park includes a stadium, a gymnasium, a swimming pool, supporting public service buildings, underground parking and equipment rooms, a warm-up practice field, a fitness plaza and a fitness park.

As a key project of the Hainan Free Trade Port, the construction of the stadium will not only fill the void of a modern stadium in Sanya, but will also promote the development of Sanya's sports, culture and tourism industries, enhance the image of the city, and improve local people's quality of life.
