2021 Hainan International Culture & Creativity Week kicks off

The 2021 Hainan International Cultural and Creative Week kicked off at the Mangrove International Convention and Exhibition Center in the coastal city of Sanya on Oct 15.

With the theme of "Resonance and Symbiosis," this year's cultural and creative week includes a main forum, 28 subdivision forums and over 100 cultural and creative activities in the fields of cultural tourism, cultural innovation, rural innovation, and design. It aims to discuss the current challenges and opportunities of culture and creativity, and create a new ecology for industrial development. It is expected that tens of thousands of citizens and tourists will participate in the event.

The 28 subdivision forums mainly include the Hainan Free Trade Port culture and tourism integration and innovation, building beautiful villages and realizing common prosperity as well as Guochao cultural and creative development.

The event particularly set up the "Fast forwarding to 2030" international sector, inviting speakers from different countries and regions to share methods of crossing fields and inspire people's new thinking and action modes in the next decade.

The event also includes over 100 activities such as the Tianya Market, the Hainan Cultural and Creative Design Competition, the International Tea Art Competition, and a music festival.

The event is co-sponsored by the Tsinghua University Cultural and Creativity Development Research Institute, Boao Cultural and Creativity Institute, Sanya Tourism and Culture Group, and SMART Resort Industry Smart Platform.
