At a press conference held on April 6, Han Luhai, secretary of the Party committee and chairman of Sanya Phoenix International Airport, said that the airport has implemented three COVID-19 prevention and control measures for inbound and outbound passengers.

The Sanya airport cooperates with various airlines to inform them of Sanya's epidemic prevention and control policies in advance, as well as to check the inbound passengers' health codes, itinerary cards, and nucleic acid test certificates before they board the plane, helping to facilitate smooth travel.

In the arrival hall of the airport, passengers' temperature, health code, and travel history will be checked, while nucleic acid detection will be carried out for all inbound passengers. For those passengers that have been in medium and high-risk areas, the airport will arrange special cars to transfer them to designated hotels for 14-day quarantine control.

For passengers who have entered China from other countries and regions for 14 days but less than 21 days, the airport will arrange special cars to transfer them after they get off the plane to designated hotels to complete their 21-day quarantine period.

In terms of COVID-19 prevention and control measures for outbound passengers, their body temperature, health code, and nucleic acid report taken within 48 hours of departure will be checked at the entrance of the airport's terminal building. Currently, passengers whose destination is Hohhot are required to have two negative nucleic acid reports taken within 48 hours of departure, with an interval of no less than 24 hours before they can check-in.
