Sanya reports 48 COVID-19 confirmed cases on Aug 4

On Aug 4, Sanya reported 48 new COVID-19 confirmed cases and one confirmed case transferred from asymptomatic infection. From Aug 1 to 4, Sanya reported 72 confirmed cases and one asymptomatic infection in total.

With the exception of the Haitang Bay area, the Yalong Bay area, and the Yucai Ecological Area, the city has implemented regional control measures starting from Aug 4. People who need to enter or exit enterprises, institutions, public places, and communities should show negative nucleic acid results taken from within the past 24 hours.

With the exception of public service enterprises, such as water, electricity, fuel, gas, communications, transportation, sanitation, express delivery, market supermarkets, pharmacies, and catering enterprises that are only providing express delivery services, which provide public necessities and serve the basic operation of the city, other enterprises are required to have employees work from home, while all other business premises should be closed.

Tourists who need to leave the city by flight or bus should go through the flight and bus procedures with two negative nucleic acid test results taken within the past 48 hours. To enter the Haitang Bay area, the Yalong Bay area, and the Yucai Ecological Area, people need to hold a negative nucleic acid test taken within the past 24 hours. Public transportation services, such as buses, trams, passenger lines, cruise ships, and yachts, are suspended.
