Hainan's IP promotion week opens in Sanya

The "4.26" Intellectual Property Promotion Week in 2024 in Hainan commenced on April 20 at Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City (YZBSTC) in Sanya before the 24th World Intellectual Property Day that falls on April 26.

Highlights of the launching ceremony included the presentation of the third "IP Creativity TOP 30" selection activity of YZBSTC, the awarding ceremony of the fourth Hainan Provincial Patent Awards, the release of patent navigation achievements, and a high-value patent roadshow.

Tie Gang, director of the Hainan Provincial Administration for Market Regulation, said that the primary purpose of holding the launch ceremony in YZBSTC is to showcase the achievements of IP work in Hainan province in recent years, mobilize all sectors of society to care about, pay attention to, and support IP work, and jointly promote the high-quality development of the province's IP cause.

In addition, throughout this year's promotion week spanning from April 20 to 26, YZBSTC intends to launch a series of activities such as IP-themed training sessions, high-value patent roadshows, and signings of technology transfer contracts. These endeavors make every effort to create an environment conducive to widespread awareness and active involvement in the protection of intellectual property rights.
