2024 Sanya Dragon Boat Open to hit water on June 15

The 2024 Sanya Dragon Boat Open will take place on June 15, with multiple teams competing in a 400-meter dragon boat race along the Sanya River (from Sanya River Xinfeng Bridge to Qingren Bridge).

The competition features men's, women's, and mixed-gender teams, with over 10 teams participating across four racing lanes.

Sanya's warm climate and picturesque scenery, particularly along the Sanya River, where the race will be held, provide a uniquely advantageous setting for the event.

In 2023, approximately 20,000 people gathered along the river to witness the dragon boat spectacle, with massive on-site and online viewership totaling 480,000 views.

The 2024 Sanya Dragon Boat Open aims to promote the integration of national fitness and public health, boost sports tourism through dragon boat racing, showcase the vibrant cultural identity of Sanya, and drive the development of Sanya as an international tourism consumption hub.
