Sanya airport to Haitang Bay helicopter route established

On Jan 23, the first flight of the helicopter route from Sanya Phoenix International Airport to Haitang Bay was completed.

Operated by China Southern Airlines General Aviation, the route features helicopters with capacities of six, 12, and 19 seats. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes, starting from Sanya Tianya Heliport and ending in Haitang Bay.

Passengers can opt for this unique mode of transportation to travel between the airport and hotels, enjoying breathtaking views of Sanya from the air and experiencing the tropical seaside city's distinctive charm.

An official from the Sanya municipal transportation bureau said that they plan to open helicopter routes from Haitang Bay to various scenic spots, inter-scenic area connections, and direct flights from the Sanya International Duty-Free Complex to Sanya airport.

In recent years, Sanya's low-altitude industry has shown strong growth. By continually introducing and expanding helicopter sightseeing flights, Sanya aims to provide travelers with convenient and efficient travel experiences, furthering the high-quality development of the city's low-altitude economy and supporting the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
