Sanya maximizes 'long-tail effect' of Spring Festival travel peak

With the end of the Spring Festival holiday, Sanya's off-peak tourism remains vibrant. Simultaneously, Sanya keeps unveiling new tourism products and hosting various cultural and tourism events to enrich visitors' travel experiences.

Since Feb 3, the paragliding project at Wuzhizhou Island Tourism Area has quickly gained popularity online. Many young tourists flocked to experience the excitement and joy of paragliding.

On Jan 23, the helicopter route from Sanya Phoenix International Airport to Haitang Bay took off, providing travelers with a unique aerial experience.

Next, Sanya will focus on "off-peak spring travel", introducing multiple routes and products to meet individualized traveler needs. In the first quarter, the city plans to host 140 large-scale events covering various fields like culture, sports, and entertainment.

While continuously innovating tourism experiences, Sanya is also enhancing service quality.

On Jan 23, Sanya launched the luggage storage service. This service establishes a green channel for luggage delivery between Sanya Phoenix International Airport, Sanya Railway Station, and major hotels, providing great convenience for tourists.

Domestic flight and hotel prices have notably dropped after the Lantern Festival. Data from Ctrip shows a 30 percent to 50 percent decrease in average airfare and hotel prices compared to the Spring Festival period, with a 30 percent to 40 percent drop in airfare prices to Sanya and Haikou and high-end hotel prices returning to normal levels. The reduced cost of travel makes consumer spending more cost-effective.

Sanya's off-peak tourism market has also attracted many overseas tourists. On Feb 20, Sanya welcomed the first large group of Korean tourists after the Spring Festival, with nearly 200 Korean visitors embarking on an in-depth experience trip, signaling a continuous development of Sanya's inbound tourism market.

Through innovative products and service upgrades, Sanya continues the tourism heat, allowing visitors to experience the charm of the "tropical paradise".
