Sanya tops multiple popular destination lists during summer vacation

The summer travel season has started, with data from leading online travel platform Tuniu show that Sanya is one of the top 10 domestic destinations.

The platforms indicate that the first wave of trips began on June 28. The busiest period is expected to continue until mid-August. 

Family trips account for 42 percent of summer travel bookings, with Sanya ranking among the top 10 family-friendly destinations. Attractions such as Atlantis Water Park draw many visitors. 

Family travelers favor self-drive tours, especially "hotel and ticket" packages for theme parks, cultural attractions, and summer getaways, which are increasingly popular. Sanya also ranks among the top 10 self-driving destinations. 

To accommodate growing demand, Sanya offers diverse options such as immersive educational tours. Children can explore Hainan's intangible cultural heritage at Luhuitou Cultural Park or participate in coral planting at Wuzhizhou Island. Family-friendly hotel packages, like the "Island King" deal at Sanya Yalong Bay Mangrove Tree Resort, provide all-inclusive experiences. 

Graduating students receive special benefits, including free entry to attractions like Yalong Bay Rose Valley and free tickets for cultural performances. Sanya has also partnered with platforms such as Ctrip to offer nearly 500 discounted travel options, with discounts as steep as 10 percent.
