Sanya event blends film, bridal romance in immersive experience

The Hainan Island International Film Festival's Film Fan Club and the 2025 Sanya Bridal Fashion Week will jointly launch an immersive interactive experience called "Love Detective" at the Sanya CBD Museum of Art on Nov 16.

Centered around the creative concept of "film and bridal romance", the activity allows participants to revisit romantic moments from classic films while searching for love clues through task cards, non-player character (NPC) interactions, and situational installations — from the solemn vows in Titanic, to the urban romance of Roman Holiday, and the youthful regrets of La La Land. Moviegoers who complete all tasks will receive a special gift.

No additional ticket purchase is required for the event. The public can obtain tickets through platforms like Dianping and Meituan or receive complimentary tickets by making purchases at designated duty-free malls or Wuzhizhou Island.

The upcoming seventh Hainan Island International Film Festival is scheduled for December 2025 in Sanya, featuring global films and a "Travel with Cinema" theme. Concurrently, the Sanya International Bridal Fashion Week (Nov 24-28) hosts brand showcases and a "Millennial dreams: a global bridal wear inspiration journey" exhibition (Nov 16-Dec 12) with top designers like Vera Wang. This collaboration between a major cultural event and a premier bridal fashion platform highlights Sanya's role as a hub for cultural and fashion innovation.
