Travel agents participating in the Overseas Tour Operators Hainan Tour 2026 visited Sanya city on June 4-5.

They explored luxury resorts and duty-free shopping centers, experiencing the unique travel offerings firsthand.

The agents also engaged in practical discussions about customizing travel itineraries and attracting visitors.

The stunning underwater suites and sky-high infinity pools left a lasting impression, with many agents snapping photos and frequently expressing their delight.

"Sanya is full of surprises!" they exclaimed.

At 10 am on June 4, a group of travel agents arrived at the Atlantis Sanya hotel.

As they stepped into the underwater suite, they were greeted by floor-to-ceiling windows opening onto a massive aquarium, where sharks glided by and rays floated gracefully.

The mesmerizing scene instantly captured everyone's attention.

"Wow!" a travel agent from South Korea marveled. "The hotels in Sanya are absolutely gorgeous. They have fantastic facilities for inbound tourism and including these hotels in our luxury golf tours will definitely be a big hit."

A travel agent from Hong Kong said: "The underwater suite concept is incredibly unique, with only a few hotels worldwide offering something like this."

She added that the magical atmosphere at Atlantis Sanya makes it a perfect highlight for honeymoon packages and will appeal to young clients. "I've taken lots of photos and videos to use in promotions when I get back," she said.

The travel agents then headed to the Rosewood Sanya hotel. Situated on the 14th floor, the sky lobby offers a breathtaking 270-degree view of the ocean.

However, it was the infinity pool on the 13th floor that truly amazed the guests. The pool's edge seamlessly merges with the skyline — creating a stunning visual effect that makes every photo look like a scene from a movie.

"This is one of the most visually impressive hotel pools I've ever seen," commented an Australian travel agent, who lingered by the poolside for quite some time.

She mentioned that Australian tourists have a strong preference for luxury vacation experiences, and the design and exclusivity of the Rosewood Sanya perfectly meet the demands of the high-end market.

She plans to incorporate it into custom small-group luxury travel itineraries.

As dusk fell, the group visited the Sanya International Duty-Free Shopping Complex, one of the largest such standalone complexes globally.

With over 800 international brands, the store features dedicated sections for beauty products, handbags and luxury items.

The extensive product range captivated travel agents from various countries, who paused to shop and discuss potential partnerships.

A Malaysian travel agent pointed out that Malaysian tourists' shopping preferences fit right in with the duty-free model.

"Integrating duty-free shopping into seaside vacation packages to create a 'stay and shop' one-stop experience will definitely have strong appeal in the Southeast Asian market," the agent added.
