Sanya MixC Mall opens with fresh new look

The Sanya MixC Mall was unveiled with a bang on July 24, establishing it as a new commercial landmark that will galvanize the overall shopping and consumer experience in the coastal city of Sanya.

Situated in the heart of the Sanya Central Business District (CBD), the mall has around 80,000 square meters of commercial space and it is surrounded by upscale residential communities and office buildings.

The rapid development of the Sanya CBD has attracted numerous Fortune 500 companies and leading local businesses to establish their regional headquarters in the vicinity.

The blend of business professionals, affluent families and tourists aims to create a diverse and stable consumer base — providing a strong foundation for the growth of the shopping district.

The project — previously known as Hi Place Sanya Tianyue City — was subsequently taken over by China Resources MixC Lifestyle Services Limited, representing the latter's first asset-light venture in Sanya.

The upgrade focuses on the first-store economy, bringing a wave of municipal, provincial and regional first-time openings to elevate the local shopping experience and diversify the retail market.

New retail offerings include trendy brands making their Sanya debut like KEADA, Ann Andelman and Rest&Recreation, alongside the first SOOsoo in South China and the first Sakimoto Bakery in Hainan — creating a shopping environment that feels both high-quality and fresh.

MixC Mall hosted a series of events like the first Sanya Burger Festival, an outdoor music festival and book signings in the lead-up to its official opening, bolstering the night-time economy and increasing foot traffic.

The launch of Sanya MixC Mall is a key move in upgrading the city's commercial scene and its overall offering of appealing consumer experiences. The project will continually refine its brand lineup, focus on detailed operations and enhance its service system to create a lively, welcoming and dynamic urban lifestyle destination.

The effort will provide consistent support for Sanya's development as a central hub for international tourism and consumption, aligning it with the city's overall growth.
