China Eastern Airlines Hainan Branch settles in Sanya

China Eastern Airlines (CEAir) Hainan Branch was officially established and settled in Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City on Sept 16. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period (2021-25), CEAir expects to put 30 to 50 aircrafts into operation in Hainan province, and join hands with Hainan to build an "air bridge" connecting the world.

CEAir established a sales department in Sanya in 2011, and it signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Hainan Provincial Government on June 13, 2020. The establishment of the Hainan branch in Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City is an important milestone for CEAir to deepen its strategic cooperation with Hainan.

"With the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP), the civil aviation industry will develop prosperously in Hainan," said Feng Dehua, deputy general manager of CEAir. Feng added that the cooperation with Hainan and Sanya will not only serve Hainan's economic and social development, but also promote CEAir to build a world-class airline.

The establishment of the Hainan branch will enhance the global accessibility of air passenger and cargo transportation in Hainan, and vigorously promote the rapid development of related industries in the Hainan FTP.
