Sanya opens new direct flight to Cheongju, South Korea

Sanya has expanded its international air connectivity with the new direct flight route from Cheongju, South Korea. Operated by T'way Air, flight TW633 landed at Sanya Phoenix International Airport on Nov 17, marking the official launch of this twice-weekly service.

Using a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, the route departs every Monday and Friday from Cheongju, arriving in Sanya at 0:35 the next day. Return flights depart Sanya at 1:35 on Tuesdays and Saturdays, arriving in Cheongju at 5:40 (all Beijing Time).

This new route creates a convenient travel bridge between Sanya's tropical beaches and Cheongju's autumn landscapes, providing more options for travelers seeking either sunny coastal getaways or vibrant fall foliage experiences. The connection is expected to enhance tourism and cultural exchanges between the two destinations.
