Sanya-Jinan-Seoul passenger flight resumes operations

In a landmark development, Shandong Airlines flight SC8013 successfully took off recently — under the supervision of Sanya Airport Customs, which is part of Haikou Customs — marking the official restart of the Sanya-Jinan-Seoul passenger route. That makes it the only flight currently connecting Sanya with South Korea.

As a key air link between the Hainan Free Trade Port and South Korea, the reopening of the route is expected to further boost economic, trade and cultural exchanges between Hainan and South Korea — adding fresh momentum to local business and cultural ties between China and South Korea.

To ensure smooth customs clearances for the resumed flights, Sanya Airport Customs worked closely with the airline and airport authorities, offering policy advice and guidance on flight approvals and clearance procedures.

They streamlined the clearance process and implemented various regulatory measures to speed up passenger processing, with Korean-speaking staff on site and clear signage installed at the inspection areas to ensure easy and efficient travel experiences.
