To celebrate the 15th "China Tourism Day" on May 19, Sanya has kicked off its third round of the "Fall in Love with Sanya" promotional campaign, offering nearly 700 discounted travel packages with discounts as steep as 90 percent off.
The initiative, led by the Sanya tourism board, partners with platforms like Ctrip, the "HiChina" App, and the "Sanya Trusted Travel" mini-program, along with over 120 local businesses, to deliver budget-friendly luxury across family vacations, marine adventures, student deals, and duty-free shopping.
The campaign combines official livestream sales with island-wide discounts, covering everything from budget stays to high-end resorts. Hotels like Sanya Bay Mangrove Tree Resort World and Hyatt Regency Sanya Tianli Bay are rolling out exclusive deals, while Ctrip's BOSS Live will distribute 199 yuan ($27.6) vouchers on May 23. Attractions such as submarine museums and 4-day cruise tours to the South China Sea are low-cost, and airlines like HK Express and Air China offer discounted flights to Sanya.
International travelers can enjoy a 2,648-yuan welcome gift upon arrival, including duty-free coupons and hotel and attraction perks. The promotion, bookable via the Ctrip and TravelSky apps, runs through summer with free cancellation.
Since March, the "Fall in Love with Sanya" series has generated over 370,000 orders and 149.5 million yuan in sales.
