Wuzhizhou Island in Sanya recently revealed a stunning glass sea spectacle. The water gracefully shifts from deep to light green, creating a layered effect akin to a flowing emerald, offering a truly mesmerizing view.

Glass sea is a vivid term used to describe coastal waters that are exceptionally clear and transparent, glistening like glass under the sunlight.

This enchanting natural optical phenomenon has become a hallmark of several popular tourist destinations.

In Hainan, locations like Wuzhizhou Island and Boundary Island are renowned for their pristine waters and minimal wave disturbances, maintaining the glass sea allure almost year-round.

Tourists play in the designated waters of the glass sea at Wuzhizhou Island, Sanya.

Especially from March to October, when the seas are calm and visibility is at its best, the vibrant corals and schools of fish are visible five to six meters below the surface, making it a paradise for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts.
