Hainan film festival seals 10 intl copyright deals

The seventh Hainan Island International Film Festival, which is being held in Sanya from Dec 3 to 9, has yielded significant results, highlighted by a major copyright signing ceremony organized by the China Copyright Protection Center's Hainan Branch.

The branch facilitated 10 substantive copyright transactions for films, web movies, and short series with partners from Thailand and the United States. These deals underscore Hainan's growing role in global copyright trade.

Additionally, nearly 100 film and TV copyright listings covering popular genres were launched on the festival's online platform to improve market efficiency.

As the first national-level copyright branch in Hainan, the center continues to build a professional ecosystem for copyright registration, IP trade, and international licensing, injecting strong momentum into the high-quality development of Hainan's film industry within the Hainan Free Trade Port.
