Sanya beautiful countryside attracts visitors

Liupan village, located in Jiyang district in Sanya, is a beautiful countryside destination that has become increasingly popular with tourists. During the recent May Day holiday, tourists flooded the village to enjoy the festive atmosphere and local hospitality.

One of the village's main attractions is the boutique Lianwan Inn, which was fully booked during the holiday. The inn owner, surnamed Zhang, said that she earned over 10,000 yuan ($1,444) in daily revenue from both the attached restaurant and the guest rooms. The nearby restaurants also enjoyed booming business during this period.

During the holiday, a pedestrian street in Liupan village which functions as a fashion corridor, became a popular destination. Nearly 70 shops have gathered in the 200-meter long street, and they have contributed to the village in lengthening its industrial chains, as well as broadening its income channels.

The development of Liupan village is part of a broader effort to promote rural vitalization in Sanya, with the government leading the efforts to improve infrastructure and living conditions. Such efforts have placed Liupan village as one of the 11 model villages in Jiyang district.

Currently, villagers are working to further develop new businesses and attractions to keep up with growing demands. They also have plans to construct 50 shops with wood in order to attract more visitors and increase local incomes.

By the end of 2022, Sanya achieved great economic results, with its per capita income reaching 29,085 yuan and its collective economic income reaching 4.17 million yuan.
