Sanya's Shuijiao village recognized for beauty

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs released a list on Aug 25, proposing to recommend 256 villages as the beautiful leisure villages in China for the year 2023. Shuijiao village, in Tianya district of Sanya, was selected.

Covering an area of 17.16 square kilometers, Shuijiao is a settlement mainly inhabited by the Li ethnic group.

The village boasts a charming fusion of rice fields, exotic farmhouses, tranquil coffee shops and cozy courtyards far away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Visitors can enjoy a leisurely weekend, waking up naturally and savoring the delicious local cuisine in the morning.

The farmhouses here use a variety of green and pollution-free ingredients, combined with high-quality local agricultural products, creating mouthwatering delicacies that are special to Shuijiao.

After lunch, visitors can head to the coffee shops to chat, admire the farmland, enjoy the gentle breeze, sip coffee and listen to music.

These camp-style coffee houses, with the backdrop of lush fields and clear water, offer a serene countryside experience that just enchants folks.

As night falls, Shuijiao village comes alive. Warm-colored lights flicker like stars in the night, creating an inviting atmosphere. People gather in small groups to enjoy barbecues, sample local wines, drink tea and chat. It's a time of enchantment, to appreciate the beauty of the countryside night.
