On Nov 4, the departure ceremony for volunteers of the 12th National Traditional Games of Ethnic Minorities took place at the Hainan Tropical Ocean University.
Li Bingran, a third-year student at Hainan Tropical Ocean University, served as the spokesperson for the volunteers at the departure ceremony. Since starting university in 2022, he has participated in nearly 100 volunteer activities, accumulating over 330 hours of service and earning recognition as an outstanding youth volunteer at the school.
During the ceremony, he committed to the volunteer team: All volunteers are set to wholeheartedly and professionally fulfill their mission of volunteer service at the games, showcasing Hainan Free Trade Port's responsibility and extraordinary charm!
"I am willing to be an honorable volunteer for the 12th National Traditional Games of Ethnic Minorities." Over 6,000 volunteers pledged during the departure ceremony.
After the ethnic games commence, these volunteers are poised to be deployed across over 10 competition venues, more than 20 host hotels, media centers, airports, train stations, and other locations, providing hospitality, traffic guidance, security, audience services, venue operations, and market development services to athletes, officials, staff, and spectators from all over the country.
The ethnic games, the largest and most prestigious comprehensive sports event held in Hainan before the island-wide customs clearance operations, are now in the crucial final phase of volunteer services.
