Over 100 dolphins spotted near Sanya Bay

On Oct 6, over 100 dolphins were spotted near Sanya Bay. They leaped, frolicked and dived in and out of the ocean, dancing beneath the clear blue sky.

They were spotted by the Qianzhou ship of the Sanya maritime police bureau, which was carrying out daily patrols in the waters near Sanya Bay. The ship lowered its speed until it was out of the densely populated area to ensure the safety of the dolphins.

Dolphins mainly inhabit warm tropical waters and are picky when it comes to water quality. In recent years, Sanya has strengthened the comprehensive management of its maritime areas and made efforts to protect the marine ecological environment, providing a good habitat for marine organisms such as dolphins.
