International Workers' Day salutes unsung heroes

While the spotlight hits the sports arena in Sanya and cheers fill the air, there are those who work quietly behind the scenes to make it happen.

Venue builders, equipment technicians, logistics crews, volunteers, medical staff members and security guards — without their dedication, every brilliant moment at the recent 6th Asian Beach Games Sanya 2026 just wouldn't have been possible.

This Labor Day, which falls on May 1, we shift our focus to the backstage. To every worker making the Games happen — and to everyone who makes the extraordinary out of the ordinary — we thank you.
